Generic Adalat is used for treating high blood pressure and angina (chest pain).

Generic Adalat CC Extended-Release is used for treating high blood pressure.

Generic Actos is used for treating type 2 diabetes in certain patients. It is used along with diet and exercise.

Alphagan reduces the amount of fluid in the eye, which decreases pressure inside the eye. Alphagan ophthalmic (for the eyes) is used to treat open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension (high pressure inside the eye).

Betaxolol is a beta-blocker that reduces pressure inside the eye. Betaxolol ophthalmic (for the eyes) is used to treat open-angle glaucoma and other causes of high pressure inside the eye.

Combigan Ophthalmic Solution is a prescription medicine used for the treatment of pressure in the eyes (ocular hypertension) and glaucoma. It works by decreasing the pressure of fluid in the eye (aqueous humor), which helps in lowering the increased eye pressure.

Generic Cosopt is used to treat certain types of glaucoma and other causes of high pressure inside the eye. Dorzolamide reduces the amount of fluid in the eye, which decreases pressure inside the eye. Timolol is a beta-blocker that also reduces pressure inside the eye.

Efavirenz is used for treating HIV infection in combination with other medicines. If this medicine is taken alone to treat HIV, it may stop working.

Tinidazole is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria, such as infection of the intestines or vagina. It is also used to treat certain sexually transmitted infections.

Galvumet is a combined medicine that contains two active components 50mg of vildagliptin and 1000mg of metformin. This pharmaceutical is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in patients whose diabetes is not adequately controlled on metformin hydrochloride alone or who are already treated with the combination of vildagliptin and metformin hydrochloride, as separate tablets. Treatment should not be initiated with this fixed-dose combination. Also Galvumet is assigned in combination with a sulfonylurea (i.e. triple combination therapy) as an adjunct to diet and exercise in patients inadequately controlled with metformin and a sulfonylurea. As well, Galvumet is prescribed as add-on to insulin as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycaemic control in patients when stable dose of insulin and metformin alone do not provide adequate glycaemic control.

This medicine is not a cure for HIV or AIDS. In 2020, after laboratory researches, it was found out that Kaletra shows positive results in a blockage of a COVID-19 viral replication.
