Fluvastatin is used together with diet to lower blood levels of "bad" cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein, or LDL), to increase levels of "good" cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein, or HDL), and to lower triglycerides (a type of fat in the blood). Fluvastatin is used to slow the build-up of plaque (fatty deposits) in your blood vessels. Fluvastatin is also used to lower the risk of heart complications in certain people with coronary heart disease.
Clopidogrel is used for reducing the risk of stroke or heart attack in patients who have already had a heart attack or stroke or have other circulatory problems due to narrowing and hardening of the arteries.
Generic Tricor is used for controlling high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood. It is used in combination with a diet low in cholesterol and saturated fat. Generic Tricor is a lipid-lowering agent. It lowers elevated blood triglyceride levels by making the liver produce fewer triglycerides and increasing the elimination of triglycerides from the blood stream.
